The L-Ext machine is used to strengthen the low back muscles and surrounding the belt line while the T-Roto machine strengthens the middle back and oblique (side) muscles. By strengthening these muscles, it will improve flexibility in the back and decrease pain when doing activities where these motions are needed. Keep in mind, a person’s trunk is a weight for these muscles and when the muscles are not strong enough to support the trunk, it causes fatigue and pain.
